So very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. Knew him as a fellow member of FUMC and also Scouting. A former scout as a youth, I started in scouting as an adult as an assistant den leader, rose through the ranks to Scout Master and Unit Commissioner. THrough all that time (20 years), Bill was always there to compliment my efforts and support me when things went haywire. He was always so cheerful and understood that times could be difficult, but he never gave up on me, prodding me to carry on for the sake of the boys. He was and always will be a superb role model for me and all the others he helped through the years. I share your sense of loss and only celebrate his passing on to Glory where we might meet again. God be with you all, give you strength and courage to carry on and help you to remember all the good and happy times you had together. God bless.

So sorry to read about Bill's passing. I did not know him...I'm sure that Mother and Dad did for sure...but in what I do know and what was in the obit, he was quite an accomplished man. I knew about the award given to you both a couple of years ago for your dedicated civic work. Well deserved.

Know that my thoughts are with you and family during this time.

Mrs. Thacker (Pat),

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My sincere condolences on the passing of Mr. Thacker (Bill). No words can describe how sorry I am for your loss.

It is an honor to call Mr. Thacker (Bill) my friend. It was a blessing to be able to spend time with him almost every day during last six months of his life.

Our paths crossed for a reason and I am thankful because it has made me a better person. I will never forget him as long as I live.

What I admired the most about him was his love for family and friends, his love of country and his love and faith in God.

I have great admiration and love for you and Mr. Thacker (Bill). You both are great Americans.

Bill is the true definition of an American.
He loved his family, friends, fought for his country in WW11 and gave back to his community.
He helped strangers in need and fought for causes he
believed in.
Bill was a little gift from God for those of us who
knew him and had Bill in our lives.
Rest In Peace.

Pat, Billy, Ty, Jeff, Thomas, and Sadie,
I was saddened to hear of your loss. Bill was a one of the good guys, someone who will be missed exponentially, he has left a wonderful legacy. He was a gentleman, always smiling, and eager to hear about the person he engaged conversation with. He made me always so glad to see him. He was a kind person. I know very well this is a difficult time, it does help to have such wonderful memories. Time will sooth your pain, but we all will never forget. Hugs to you all and know that Avery and I are thinking of you and in our prayers. With Sympathy, Janis
