I remember Hulse as loving family man, as well as a dedicated professional. He will be greatly missed. My condolences go out to his entire family and friends. He will be leaving a significant void in the lives of those he touched.

I am a bit disappointed in his obituary. I knew him more on a professional level, but I would have liked to have known more about his personal life, and that of his family that must now learn to carry-on without him. I know that he had a sister, but there is no mention of her name or that of her children, and who was the mother of his own children? Did she not deserve a least a mention in his obituary?

I suppose in the midst of a personal grief it is hard to write down in a few paragraphs the life of a loved one. It is likely a staff member of the mortuary who wrote the obituary using published information, and some personal facts supplied by a family member, but it reads like a curriculum vitae with a little bit of family information thrown in. It is such a shame because he so often expressed a deep love for his family, and I'm sure that they were much more important to him than the various boards he served on.

With the help of God's love and compassion, we will all learn to live without Hulse, and when my time comes I look forward to seeing him again, but I know that he is still with us through the love and kindness he showed to us all.

Dear Carol,
we firstly came to Wichita Falls in 1967 and got to know you as our sponsor in the Sheppard pilot training programm. And ever since that time and over the decades, we kept a contact to our "home away from home". We met Hulse in 1983 after returning to Sheppard as instructor pilot and got to know him as a very friendly human being, open and interested in the well being of others. We share your grief and sorrow and pray for all the strength our good Lord will provide for you to overcome the loss of your beloved husband. We are thousands of miles away but in our thoughts and prayers we are very close to you.
With all our sympathy yours Ralph and Hella from Germany
