I am Walter’s nurse at Senior Care. Spoke to Maxine many times on the phone before we ever met in person. She called on a regular basis to check on her husband and let me know the times and channels games he would want to watch. She always said “Tell him I send my love and I will come see him as soon as I can find a ride.” I met her when she was visiting him in person. I broke my heart when I saw her at Senior Care and to find out she had become ill. Despite all that the little time she and him got to spend was beautiful! His eyes just lit up when they would bring her to the table at meal time. Both wonderful people. I’m so sorry for your loss.

Maxine was a wonderful lady. I had the pleasure of working with her years ago on the Board of Directors at South Side Girls Club. We worked several bazaars together. Maxine was caring, encouraging and great fun. Little girls at the club knew she truly cared about them. Praying peace and comfort over her family at this sad time. Maxine made a real difference in children’s lives! God Bless. Mrs. Mary Kapellas

I had the pleasure several years ago to work with Maxine on the South Side Girls Club Board. Maxine was so caring, encouraging and great fun! We worked several bazaars together to raise money for the precious girls. Little girls many who had struggles knew that Maxine truly cared about them. Sending love ❤️ to her family and our prayers as well during this difficult time. Maxine was a gem. 💎
