I met Del at House of Hope (Bluebonnet). What I remember most about him was his singing precious gospel songs. I wish my husband could have joined him, but he wasn’t even speaking by that time. They would have been quite a duet. God bless you in their difficult time.

Lev and Elaine Stephens

Wichita Falls, TX

We have so many wonderful memories of Del, which we will cherish the rest of our lives. Every time we saw him, his eyes would light up and a big smile would come across his face. He always made us feel like he really enjoyed being with us. Del really enjoyed people. He loved and cared about other people,
especially their spiritual condition. Before Lev was approved by Del to marry Elaine, Del put him through a thorough interview
concerning his spiritual beliefs. We married on his birthday.
Our prayer is that Mona and the entire family quickly reach the point in the grieving process where they can actually enjoy their memories of Del and that a smile will cross their faces every time they think of him.

Wichita Falls, TX

Mona and family, we are so sorry for your loss. Mona, we have loved both you and Del from the first time we met you. Del was such an inspiration to both of us, David appreciated him because he would always listen & ask questions about his prison ministry and was always interested. He was also a great mentor to David.
You & your family are in our prayers. David & Darlene

Wichita Falls, TX

I greatly admired Del. He was an honest man, a Christian and a great geologist. As a new geologist back in the late 70's I would see Del at the Oil Library in the Hamilton Building. I was not a young geologist as I joined the military after college (BS in Geology) and returned to Wichita Falls after my time in the military. He was always so nice to me and I learned from him. I'm glad I had the honer to know Del. I know he is with the Lord. May peace be with his family.
