Mrs. Glorie was a true treasure and friend to so many! We met her when we joined FCC and she greeted us with her sweet smile and warm hugs. We are lifting Shirley and family in our thoughts and prayers! She will always be remembered for her love, compassion and great recipes!

Dear Shirley,
We dearly loved your Mom! What a wonderful heritage you have. She was an inspiration, a joy, a lovely friend and person, and we will all miss her greatly. We were so happy to get to celebrate her 100th birthday with her and meet you, and we stayed amazed at how sharp and fun she remained at 105. Wow. I know you'll miss her terribly. God bless and comfort you. She was so very proud of you. Marjorie and Joe

Shirley, My heart is so sad at the loss of your precious and beautiful mother. As you know from your visits, I had and still have a special love for Glorie. Her hugs were always something to which I looked forward. Know that I will continue praying for you as you mourn her passing. Know I will always consider her and you as part of my family. I love you Shirley, just as I loved your mom...

What a beautiful lady and a great influence on many. I will always cherish her influence on my young life not only as my Bluebird and Campfire leader but as the mother of my best friend in Ben Franklin Elementary. She always had a beautiful smile for everyone and I have tried to emulate this in my own life. There is a wonderful angel in heaven. Love to you Shirley. Cherish all the beautiful memories. Remember the storybook characters our mother's made for our class in 2nd grade. What fun we all had.

What a beautiful angel heaven has received. Glorie Steele had a big influence on my life from early on. She was my bluebird leader and campfire leader and taught me many things. The main thing i learned from her was to always wear a smile. It has carried me far in my life. Shirley, I will always cherish our early friendship at Ben Franklin and will always consider you a dear friend. I know you will miss your mom as we all will but think what a glorious life she has begun.
