Sam and I shared a love for horses and dogs. He at one time owed and flew his own plane. That was another thing we had in common. I think that when he was above the clouds it was c.a.v.u. For the non-pilots among us, that’s aviation talk for “clear and visibility unlimited.” I’m sure Sam flew right through purgatory it and made a smooth landing in Heaven. So Vaya Con Dios, my friend. I’ll be on a later flight.
