Adrea Rose Miles, 91, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving children at home. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Our Lady Queen of Peace with Father Kyle Walterscheid officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Mildred (Koeser) and Lester Oliver Lonzo, Adrea, was born on November 21, 1934, in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, and graduated from Washington High School in 1952. She was married for 68 lovely years to James J. Miles on June 13th, 1953, who passed away on Sunday, August 15th, 2021. She grew up on the shore of Lake Michigan and was known for her Hollywood smile and her big dimples.

She was active in her school years, especially as a cheerleader, swimmer, choir singer, and soloist. She was truly dedicated to her family and community. They moved 7 times and lived in 10 different homes, including losing a home to the 1979 Wichita Falls tornado, all the while maintaining a calm presence in the family, as James would say, "I picked out the perfect mother for y'all." She still has time to give to others; Cub Scout and Girl Scout Leader, singing with different groups, and acting in The Sound of Music in Chicago.

She also gave her time to help with child advocacy, mental health, and the Salvation Army. For 48 years, she was a member of the Women's Forum and was named Woman of the Year in 1989/90. Additionally, she was also a part of the Alter Society, Catholic Daughters, Gourmet Club, Book Club, Woman of Rotary, Sympathy League, and S&B Club.

She is survived by her children, her son Joel Miles, her daughter Renae Miles Harper and husband Mike, her daughter Catherine Miles, her son Jon Miles, and her daughter-in-law Charlotte; 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; and her sister Judy Orlopp; and her many nieces and nephews in Wisconsin.

Adrea was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, son Jimmy Miles, her daughter-in-law, Kelly Miles.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to Hospice of Wichita Falls for the wonderful care provided. Interment will be in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, at a later date.
