Alan Lee, 75, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on August 1, 2026.

Born on November 22, 1950, in Wichita Falls to Winifred and Marcille Lee, Alan grew up in Nocona before moving to Crowell, where he graduated from Crowell High School. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War before returning home to earn his accounting degree from Midwestern State University.

Alan was known for his kindness, easy conversation, and genuine ability to make friends wherever he went. Whether through church, work, or everyday encounters, he never met a stranger. He especially enjoyed his work at United Regional, where he appreciated the opportunity to meet and connect with so many people.

A faithful member of Edgemere Church of Christ, Alan was affectionately known as the church's "coffee guy" and greeter, welcoming everyone with a smile.

Alan also had a special love for children. He volunteered for many years at Camp Lu-Jo KISMIF and at Wichita Christian School where he served on the WCS Board of Directors and was a volunteer bus driver. He will be remembered by generations of children who knew him simply as "the Bus Driver" for faithfully driving them to school activities, events, and countless memorable outings.

Alan loved being on the water, whether at the lake or the beach. Known to family and friends as "Captain," or simply "Cap," he taught many to water ski and enjoyed telling stories of learning to ski on Lake Wichita behind his parents' first boat powered by a 50-horsepower Johnson motor.

Nothing brought Alan more joy than his grandchildren. He loved spending time with them and proudly shared their pictures with anyone who would look.

He is survived by his wife, Janna Lee; his daughter, Jordan Baker and her husband, Simon, and their children; his son, Perry Lee of Wichita Falls; his sister, Andrea Mason and her husband, Stan Mason, of Holliday, Texas; his niece, Ashley Holcomb and her husband, Justin, and their children, Caden and Addilee of Holliday TX; along with many cousins and cherished friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Edgemere Church of Christ, 4728 Neta Lane, Wichita Falls, on Saturday, August 15. Donuts and coffee will be served at 10:30 a.m., followed by the celebration at 11:00 a.m. A meal will follow.

Alan will be remembered for his servant's heart, his kindness, his love for family and friends, and the lasting relationships he built throughout his life.
