On the morning of October 14th, 2022, Alan Rodd Wilhelm went into his eternal rest in Wichita Falls, Texas at the age of 53. Alan was born to Larry and Lucille Wilhelm in April of 1969 in Amarillo, Texas.

In November of 1994 , Alan married his soul mate Kristen, and together they raised two children, Sydney and Jacob. Alan worked for his dad at Red River Electronics for 25 years. During this time, he was also a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT for Lakeside City Volunteer Fire Department. He owned Wilhelm Steel Construction building shops, elegant doors, and gates. Alan was the Field Operations Manager for Finnell Oil for the remainder of his life. He was also the co-owner/operator of WF Energy Services, LLC.

A family man is the only way to describe Alan. He loved his family immensely. If you knew Alan, you knew his family whether you had met them or not. He was always telling others about how proud he was of his family and all of their accomplishments. While he loved being a husband and father, he was delighted to fulfill his role as Opa. He never missed an opportunity to spend time with his grandsons, Quentin and Shay. In his free time, he loved to entertain family and friends with his beloved wife at their house and watch sunsets over a glass of wine. An expert handyman, you could find Alan tinkering out in his shop doing everything from fixing things to building completely new things. If he had a free Saturday, you could find him at Parkway watching the Texas Tech game or in Lubbock with Jacob and friends tailgating and showing 'em how it's done.

Alan is preceded in death by his mother Lucille Wilhelm and brother-in-law Leslie Finnell. He is survived by his wife and soul mate; Kristen; his son; Jacob, his daughter and son-in-law, Sydney and Clayton Wolf; his grandsons, Quentin Lloyd and Shay Alan; his father; Larry; his sisters, Christie, Noel, Annette, and Lorel; his brothers-in-law; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 20th at Lunn's Chapel. The family will receive friends at a visitation following the service.
