Aletris Margarete Novotny, 85, of Wichita Falls, passed away on May 12, 2024.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 14th at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home, 2812 Midwestern Parkway, Wichita Falls, Texas. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 15th at Lunn's Colonial chapel with Deacon David Bindel officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Grace Elvina (Lauritsen) and Clarence Addison Reynolds, Aletris was born on July 23, 1938, in Fort Riley, Kansas. She met and married the love of her life Cletus Novotny in 1978 and had 30 great years together until Cletus's death.

Aletris graduated from Lawton High School and went on to make a career in cake decorating. She did all the wedding cakes for her children's weddings and birthdays. Aletris was an avid reader, loved camping and going Glamping with her girls. Her favorite pastime was being with her cats, daughters and all her grandkids.

Along with her parents, Aletris was also preceded in death by her husband Cletus, her brother Frank Reynolds, sister Elaine Smith.

She is survived by 4 daughters: Donna (Tony) Acosta, Burkburnett, TX; Diana Portice, Lawton, Ok, Wendy (James) Kolker of Elgin, OK, Penny (Charles) Webb, Wichita Falls, TX.  She is also survived by her 3 step-children: Michael (Patsy) Novotny, Bethany, OK; Cletus Jr. (Julie) Novotny of Jenks, OK and Laurie Bales of Burkburnett, TX. Aletris also had 13 grandchildren and 8 Great-grandchildren; two sisters, Naomi (Don) Cavenass, and Katherine Messenger; and numerous nieces and nephews.
