Anita Ruth Sanders passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

Anita was born on October 6, 1956 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Leon and Billie Carter. She graduated from Rider High School in 1975. She was active in A Cappella Choir and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Anita worked at the Texas Department of Transportation in Wichita Falls, Texas, where she retired in 2008 after 28 years. She then went to work at MWA Group as an administrative assistant until 2018.

Anita's favorite thing in the world was spending time with her grandchildren Mason, Elliott, and Reed. She also loved to volunteer at Hospice of Wichita Falls.

She is preceded in death by her parents Leon and Billie Carter of Wichita Falls Texas.

Anita is survived by her two sons Matthew Sanders of Waco Texas, and Mark Sanders and wife Jayna of Wichita Falls, Texas; her three grandchildren Mason, Elliott, and Reed; her three sisters Carolyn Davenport and husband Tom, Becky Tuck and husband Jerry Bob, and Nancy Shave and husband Roy; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other friends and family.

A visitation/viewing will be held at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home on December 13 from 2 to 4 PM.
