Marjorie Ann Moffitt was born November 7, 1931 in St. Louis, Missouri to Alverne and Hugh Moffitt. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 23, 2022 at the age of 91.

Ann grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she graduated from Central High School. She attended The University of Tulsa and Washington University in St. Louis where she studied nursing. While in St. Louis she met her first husband and father of her 4 daughters. They moved for his medical practice to Wichita Falls where Ann resided for the rest of her life.

After the divorce and while being a single parent, Ann went back to school and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from Midwestern State University, graduating at the top of her class. Ann loved being a nurse and taught her love of nursing as an instructor in labor and delivery for Vernon Regional Junior College until her retirement.

On New Years Eve in 1991 Ann was persuaded by her daughter Julie and future daughter-in-law Laura to go on a blind date with Johnny Barnard. Through Julie and Laura God had changed all of our lives for the better. After that New Years Eve, Ann and Johnny were rarely apart. They married September 6, 1991, creating the "Barnard Bunch" and began a life together that brought so much joy to everyone.

Family was the most important thing to Ann and Johnny whom for the next 24 years enjoyed going to their grandchildren's football and soccer games as well as numerous grandparents days at grade schools, skiing and snowmobiling in Montana, graduations and the annual summer trips to Spring Creek resort in Colorado. Ann and Johnny were renowned for their football parties and were fortunate to have many dear friends that they traveled the world with. They loved their Corgi companions Baxter and Hank.

Ann loved taking care of all of us by creating a wonderful home and through her cooking. She never lost her passion to be a good hostess even when bedridden in her last days.

Ann & Johnny attended Fain Presbyterian Church where Ann was a lifelong member.

She is survived by 8 children, Julie (Lon) Houseman, Susan Moriarty, Karen (Dick) Jones, Sarah Sleeper, Tommy (Robin) Barnard, Charlie (Laura) Barnard, Bill (Lolly) Barnard and Shannon (Robb) Klatt; 14 Grandchildren and their 9 spouses and 19 Great Grandchildren.

Ann was preceded in death by the love of her life, Johnny Barnard; and her Grandson Andy Klatt.

The family would like to thank Ann's caregivers Rashida, Joy and Raveen Branch and Chevy Johnson. They always showered Ann with love and compassion through very difficult times. Ann loved "her girls" and was so happy to see them when they entered the room. We love them too and know they earned their place in heaven.

Reverend Ike Butterworth will be officiating a private family graveside service on December 29th. Internment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of Lunns Colonial Funeral Home.

Mom - We rejoice that you are at peace and with Johnny, Andy, your parents and many friends . Because you loved us so deeply you will be missed more than we can put into words. You were the best Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother ever. Job well done!!!
