A.V. Mote, age 81, passed away on December 18, 2022, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 20, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, Texas. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Redding officiating.

A.V. was born on October 10, 1941, to Ansul Victor and Clara Francis Mote in Quail, Texas. A.V. met the love of his life, Frances P. Buckmaster, at Ma's Bakery where they got married 3 months later on February 15, 1963. A.V. was the owner of Mote, Inc since 1982. He had a love for cattle, ranching, and most importantly, family.

Mr. Mote was preceded in death by his father, Ansul V. Mote; mother, Clara F. Mote; siblings Frances Ann Williams, Gene Mote, Cora Gouldner; and granddaughter, Chelsea Mote.

He is survived by wife, Frances P. Mote; brother, Johnny Mote of Amarillo, Texas; two children, Coy Mote and his wife, Terry, of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Kristie Howard and her husband, Lance, of Archer City, Texas; 5 grandchildren, Ruesty Mote and his wife, Katie, of Wichita Falls, Texas, Kodey Mote and his wife, Jessica, of Abilene, Texas, Madison Howard of Archer City, Texas, Breanna Howard of Archer City, Texas; Sarah Isabelle (Izzy) Howard and 3 great grandchildren, Noah, Matthew, and Aubrey.

The family extends a special "thank you" to the staff at Hospice of Wichita Falls for the loving care shown to A.V. Mote. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Hospice, 4909 Johnson Rd, Wichita Falls, TX 76310.
