Barbara A. Churchill, 84, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29th in Lunn's Chapel with Chaplain Starkovich Forster officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home of Wichita Falls, Texas.

A daughter of the late Gertrude Hartley and John Quinn, Barbara was born on September 30, 1939, in Brooklyn, New York City, New York. She was an only child, and both her parents died when she was young. She was raised in Florida by her aunt Edna and uncle Clark Reid.

Barbara moved to New England, where she attended nursing school. She began her 50-year nursing career immediately after earning a nursing degree. She married Peter J. Churchill in October 1958.

She and her family moved to Wichita Falls, Texas, in the early 1970's.

Barbara worked as a Registered Nurse for many hospitals including Bethania, Wichita General, and Kell West. Barbara had a love for animals, especially birds, and baseball. Although she grew up a Brooklyn Dodgers fan, she converted to a die-hard Rangers fan after moving to Texas and lived long enough to see them win a World Series!

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Peter J. Churchill, her parents, and her aunt and uncle.

She is survived by her son, Mark Churchill, son, Michael Churchill and spouse, Marcela, son, Christopher Churchill, five grandchildren, Ashley, Gabriel, Haley, Jacob, and Zachary, and three great grandchildren, Landen, Leighton, and Remington.
