Bill Clinton Gordon, 89, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on December 28, 2025.

Mr. Gordon was born July 11, 1936. He was the first born son of Frank P. Gordon and Dorothy (Cooksey) Gordon. He was among children born the first year the Bethania Hospital delivered children. He attended public schools graduating with the Wichita Falls Senior High, Class of 1954, as well as Midwestern University, class of 1963. Mr. Gordon was a student teacher at Rider High School during the first year Rider was open. In 1963, after attending graduate school, he married Sharon Lobban who was Miss Nocona Oil Queen 1956 and eventually the National Enrollment Chairwoman for the American Institute of Banking, 1962. Mr. Gordon was proud he paid his way through college as an architectural draftsman without student loans nor using the GI Bill. Mr. Gordon was an honorably discharged US Army veteran and he served with the 12th Ordnance Battalion.

After college, for almost 15 years, he was employed as a counselor for the Texas Employment Commission. One of his most interesting experiences was in December 1972, when he and another Wichitan were secretly assigned to assist, if requested, the returning Vietnam Prisoners of War when President Richard Nixon arrange for their release the next year.

For 25 years, he was self employed as a woodworker, cabinet maker, and home builder and supplied the arts and crafts businesses throughout the USA. Bill was also a musician and played the guitar, drums, chromatic harmonica and keyboard. He entertained at numerous nursing homes, private parties and clubs, including the Wichita Club, Elks Club and several American Legions, VFW, Knights of Columbus, Silver Strings at Bowie and the United Regional's 55 Advantage programs for 20 years. He was known as "The Music Man".

Mr. Gordon is survived by his daughters, Shannon Gordon/Hill and husband David of Atlanta, GA; Shellie McCullough PhD and husband Steve McCullough PhD; and grandson Tanner. Bill wishes to acknowledge his compassionate companion, Delphine Tech. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sharon; son, Stephen Eric Gordon; and brother, Larry, who died from injuries received in Vietnam.

To avoid any inconvenience for others, Bill has requested there be no funeral services. He requested to be buried with his Honorable Discharge, his Bachelor's Degree and wearing his military dog tags. Before he died, Bill prayed for God's forgiveness.
