Bobby Tate Beaves, 83, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Wednesday, January 13, 2021.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17 th in Lunn's Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 27 th at Faith Village Church of Christ with Dennis Cady officiating. (Masks will be required for all who attend.) A private family interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late Maye (Tate) and Walter Beaves, Bobby was born on June 19, 1937, in Hastings, Oklahoma and graduated from Hastings High School. He married Linda McCraw in 1959, and they had two daughters. Following her passing in 1999, Bobby married Betty McSpadden Slate.

Bobby served in the U.S. Army. He then worked as a mechanic and was a general manager for Waukesha-Pearce Industries. He retired from the public works department in Lakeside City. In retirement he drove for various car dealers in Wichita Falls. Bobby and Betty enjoyed vegetable gardening, RVing, and their grandchildren's activities.

Along with his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by a younger sister Peggy at the age of 8.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Betty Beaves; daughters Tammy Wise (Jerry) of Houston and Tracy

Redding (Kyle) of Wichita Falls; stepdaughters Kathy Carver (Clay) of Holliday, Kim Tyler (Barry) of

Kamay, Kay Kennedy (John) of Yukon, OK; and stepson Kenny Slate (Selina) of Toccoa, GA. In addition

Bobby and Betty have numerous grandchildren: Jason Crawford, Angela Wood, Bradley Carver, Lindy Lamb, Holly Allgood, Alisha Grissom, Brady Tyler, Heather Filippo, Bethany Brock, Stacie Ennis, Braden Beaves, Hannah Schick, Josh Slate, Zachary Allen, Sarah Allen, Joey Wise, Jackson Redding, and Jenna Redding, and 20 great-grandchildren.
