On March 16, 1937, the earth was blessed with Bobby Windel Hogue. On March 17, 2024, God called his angel home.

Bobby, the son of Robert Gidding Hogue and Mary Carolyn Parker Hogue, started life with very, very humble beginnings growing up in "Dog Patch". Through hard work, determination and overall stubbornness, he turned his passion for cars into a very successful career.

Bobby's desire to have a better life began in September 1960, when he married Lois Assimotos. He didn't want his wife and their children, Rance and Kerri, to feel the hardships he endured as a child. The early years may have been a struggle but together they achieved success and he got to see his vision materialize. Though this marriage later ended in divorce, Bobby and Lois still respected each other and remained friends until the end.

Bobby married Sandra Barron in 1982. Bobby and Sandra enjoyed many trips together whether it be to Australia or a simple Fall Foliage tour on the East Coast. They shared a love for the beauty of nature and the great outdoors. Their summer evenings were spent outside on the patio or poolside. Bobby never missed a chance to provide Sandra with the opportunity to show off her exquisite culinary skills and hosting talents. They loved to entertain family and friends. She preceded him in death in 2014.

Bobby had many titles in life including Dad, Uncle Bobby, Brother and friend but none made him prouder than being G-Bob to his 3 granddaughters and 6 great grandsons.    He cherished every minute he spent with "The Girls" regardless of whether it was a family event, going to an event such as Shrine Circuses and dinner at Luby's, or just lounging around the pool on a Sunday afternoon. He had a special, unique relationship with each one individually as well as the three of them together.

At 6' 4" he made a grand entrance to any room but even if you missed his entrance, you always knew where he was because he drew a crowd. His humor and storytelling were not to be missed.  His zest for life along with his shenanigans and life experiences provided him with an abundance of stories to tell and nobody could tell a story better than Hogue!

The full life he led gave him lots of opportunities to provide advice to others. Family and friends routinely turned to him for words of wisdom and encouragement. During his time at Senior Care Rehab Center, his room was often referred to as "The Oasis" where the staff could go for good conversation, a good laugh and a little fatherly advice.

In addition to his passion for cars, Bobby enjoyed teeing it up at the Country Club for a nice round of golf or drinking a cold one with his friends at P-2. He was member of the A.F. & A.M Masonic Lodge No. 635 and the Maskat Shrine for over 50 years where he developed a lot of faithful friendships which he treasured.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Edwin Hogue; and his sisters, Jackie Hogue and Martha Grace Fowler.

He is survived by his children, Rance Hogue (Susanne) and Kerri Wade (Tim). His granddaughters, Heather Fulton (Zach), Hayley Turnquist (Cameron) and Mackenzie Cox (John). Great grandsons, Grant and Hayes Fulton, Slade and Hutton, Turnquist, Maverick and Braxton Cox. Sisters, Sharon Kay Moore and Reba Fletcher. Sister-in-law, Nelda Tuggle. Numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

The family would like to give thanks to the entire staff at Senior Care Rehab Center with special thanks to Allishia, Marsha, Kayla and Melissa.

The Visitation will be Monday, March 25th from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Lunn's. Services will be Tuesday, March 26th at 3:00 pm at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home with Bryan Armstrong officiating. Immediately following the services there will be a Celebration of Life dinner at the Maskat Shrine Temple.

Honorary Pallbearers are Mark Havens, Joel Jiminez, Mike Ledue, Sammy Milam, Gary Mills, Delbert Odom, Roy Spangler and Don Wright.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations may be made to the Maskat Shrine or Hospice of Wichita Falls or the charity of your choice.
