Bobby Lee Oden went to his eternal rest at his home in Wichita Falls, Texas, on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 16, 2024 at University United Methodist Church Chapel with Rev. Zack Landis officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home from 6-7 PM.

Bobby was born in Wichita Falls on June 19, 1939, to Lee and Beatrice Oden, having two older sisters and another younger. He attended Huey Elementary and Reagan Jr. High where he made many life-long friends. Bob graduated from Wichita Falls High School in 1957 and then attended Midwestern State University. While at MSU, he worked for his uncle Jack Chappel at Lone Star Plumbing Company until being called into service by Army Reserve during the Cuban Missile Crisis at Fort Hood, Texas.

Upon release from service, Bob spent two years in California as a mechanical estimator for a major mechanical contracting firm, returning to Wichita Falls and continuing with Lone Star Plumbing. In 1991 he partnered with Jerry Perry Mechanical, and in 1975 he began business on his own as Oden Mechanical Contractors which was a successful company for fifty years. Bob was a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls during which time he belonged to University United Methodist Church, the Wichita Falls Country Club and Kiwanis of Wichita Falls. He was a 32nd  Degree Mason and a proud supporter of the Boys Club of Wichita Falls.

Bob married Alice Jeanne Belk, daughter of Roy and Doris Belk of Oklahoma City on March 25, 1961. He and Alice had two children, Kelly Louise and Ronald Douglas. Bob was an avid golfer and loved spending time at the lake with his family and "making improvements" on his Bobcat.

Along with parents, Bob was preceded in death by his three sisters Betty Walker-Allen, Patsy Gabbert and Mary Lyle; his wife of 64 years, Alice who passed away in 2023; and his loving daughter Kelly Wilkinson who passed away in 2022.

He is survived by his son Ronald Oden and wife Susan; along with five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, for all of whom he had a great love.
