Bonnie Ladene Beavers, 84, passed away peacefully September 15, 2025.

A celebration of life service will be held for her at First Presbyterian Church, 3601 Taft Blvd., at 2:00 PM Friday September 26, 2025, with Drs. Micheal Hansen and Isaac Butterworth presiding.

Bonnie was born to Parker and Ruth (Todd) Swann September 3, 1941, in Cody, Wyoming. Her early years were spent in Meeteetse Wyoming and then, after her father began working for Standard Oil, Little Buffalo Basin, a 12-house oil field camp near Meeteetse. During her elementary school years, she attended a one room school where she was often the only girl in class.

As her father received promotions within the company the family moved to Worland, and then Riverton, Wyoming where she graduated from Riverton High School. She was a popular girl and participated in many school activities including being a cheerleader and editor of the school paper.

After high school Bonnie moved to Denver, Colorado to attend Barnes Business School where she obtained an Associate degree. After graduation she went to work for the Federal Parole and Probation Service as a stenographer and secretary. In January 1962 she met Glenn Beavers while on a ski club trip to Aspen, Colorado. They became inseparable almost immediately and were married October 28, 1962. Three children, Brian, Brett, and Abigail soon followed. Bonnie loved and was involved in many things, but her children, and later grandchildren and great grandchildren, provided her greatest joys and pleasures in life.

The family moved to Wichita Falls in 1977. They joined First Presbyterian Church. The Church was a very important part of her life, and she attended faithfully. Bonnie served as a Deacon for several years, as well as on several committees. Bonnie was also active in many community organizations including the Women's Forum, Senior-Junior Forum (where she was named Woman of The Year), book club, Bible study, long term learning, and more. After her children were raised and gone from home Bonnie returned to the workforce where she worked as a secretary and office manager in the insurance business well into her seventies. If Bonnie could be summed up in just a few words they would include caring, kind, and loving. She truly lived and practiced the Golden Rule.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, and her son Major (Ret) Brian Beavers. She is survived by her husband Glenn, son Brett Beavers, daughter Abigail (Brian)) Newman, daughter-in-law Diane Beavers, brother Wayne (Marylyn) Swann, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, 1 niece, and 3 nephews.

The family would like to thank her, too many to name, wonderful, long-term friends for their love and support, and Hospice of Wichita Falls, which provided unparalleled support and comfort in her final days.
