Bradley Joseph Eckert, 48, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025. Brad was born on January 7, 1977, in Wichita Falls, Texas, to Ed and Barbara Eckert.

Brad attended Mrs. Flatt's day care, Notre Dame Elementary School, Zundelowitz Junior High School and Wichita Falls High School where he was a member of the National Honor Society. He graduated from WFHS in 1995. He received the Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in 1999 from Midwestern State University and was employed in Dallas by MUFG Capital Analytics as a Senior Operations Accountant.

Brad grew up playing soccer, T-ball and baseball. He played football and basketball at Wichita Falls High School and was a member of the Coyote basketball team that won the Regional championship in 1995 and went on to play in the final four in Austin, Texas. This was the first time for the Coyotes since 1954. Brad always spoke with fondness of his talented teammates along with Coach Menefee and Coach Golding, and was proud of the team's accomplishments.

Snow skiing was one of Brad's favorite pastimes, and he particularly enjoyed his trips to Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico, and to Wolf Creek, Colorado. He also loved to water ski and made frequent trips to Lake Hamilton, Arkansas, Lake Arrowhead and Possum Kingdom for boating and skiing.

Brad enjoyed all sports and closely followed the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars and University of Oklahoma sports. His viewpoints about his favorite teams were often the topics of discussion with family and friends.

Musical concerts were also a favorite pastime of Brad's, and he was a regular attendee at the performances of the Wichita Falls band, Bigloo. He was a fan of all musical genres, but especially liked Pearl Jam, The Eagles, Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, Electric Light Orchestra, The Beatles and The Steve Miller Band.

Brad adopted several dogs during his life-Hank, Scooter and Blue were always a source of joy for him.

Brad is survived by his parents, Ed and Barbara Eckert of Wichita Falls, TX; his brother, Steve Eckert of Fort Worth, TX ; Aunt Mary and Todd Hanson of Rosemount, MN; Aunt Georgette and Dennis Larson of Tower, MN; and numerous cousins and great friends.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, March 8th from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Wichita Falls Museum of Art, 2 Eureka Circle in Wichita Falls.

In lieu of flowers, the Eckert family requests that donations be made in Brad's memory to the Wichita County Humane Society, DFW Cocker Spaniel Rescue, the American Heart Association of favorite charity of choice.
