Carla Golightly, 85, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 28 ^th at Lunn's. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 29 ^th at Rosemont Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Roxie (Raines) and Truman Garrett, Carla was born on September 21, 1936 in Vernon, Texas. She and Don Golightly were married on March 26, 1955, in Vernon. Carla worked many years for the Wichita Falls Independent School District as a school secretary first at Haynes and later at Jefferson. She and Don enjoyed traveling to favorite places including Mexico, Alaska and Las Vegas, where they enjoyed the casinos. Carla loved shopping, visiting with her grandchildren and sitting on her front porch. She especially enjoyed trips to Sonic for her Diet Coke, then driving out to Lake Wichita to people watch.

Along with her parents, Carla was also preceded in death by her husband, Don Golightly; son, Terry Golightly; grandson, Michael Alexander; and son-in-law, Charlie Alexander.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Alexander; brother, Stan Garrett and wife, Barbara; daughter-in-law, Karen Golightly; grandchildren, Kim Weaver and husband, Chris; Daniel Golightly and wife, Jen; Denise Line, Melissa Alexander; and Sharon Braden and husband, Josh; and 11 great-grandchildren.
