Carlene "Corky" Dipprey, 89, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Saturday, September 18, 2021.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 22 ^rd at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 23 ^th at First Baptist Church, East Sanctuary with Rev. Rod Payne officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Rosetta and Carl Greene, Corky was born on April 8, 1932, in Quanah, Texas. When young, the family moved to Wichita Falls, and she became a lifelong resident.

Corky worked at Fairway Baptist while her daughter Kristi was young, and then as a bookkeeper for Johnson's Oil Company and enjoyed activities like traveling, leading Camp Fire Girls, being a Sunday school teacher at First Baptist, playing bridge and home decorating. In later years, she enjoyed simpler pleasures, like her weekly hamburger with her best friend Josephine, playing bridge with the girls, spending time with Kristi and grand-dog Sydney, Easter brunch with her son Dan, Tina and the kids, and especially eating Thanksgiving pie surrounded by her beloved grandchildren Landon, Lauren and Amelia and great-grandchildren Grady and Carter before going shopping with Tina for pretty clothes. She cherished Christmas and loved opening any present, no matter how large or small. A lifelong influencer of good taste, polite manners, being charitable and hosting dinners with charming southern touches, her impact was felt among family, friends and her community.

She leaves behind her loving family, Kristi and Tim Colvin; Dan and Tina Dipprey; Landon Dipprey; Amelia Dipprey; Lauren and Wade Edwards, and their children Grady and Carter.

Along with her parents, Corky was also preceded in death by her husbands, Jim Davis and Owen Dipprey; and her sisters Helen and Theresa.
