Carolyn C. King, 76, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2nd at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 10:00 on Friday, November 3rd at Lunn's Chapel with Chaplain Kelly Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Dora Bernice (Bussey) and James Franklin Stevens, Carolyn was born on September 25, 1947 in Olney, Texas. She married her high school sweetheart, James Edward King, on August 6, 1967, in Megargel, Texas. She worked for 30 years as a legal secretary prior to her retirement. Carolyn enjoyed cross stitching, sunflowers and painting. She could often be found spending her time with her family riding buggies at the family farm. She loved going on lake trips with her husband and boys and waterskiing. Following her retirement, she loved spending time at home with her husband and their little dogs.

Along with her parents, Carolyn was also preceded in death by her sister-in-law, Mary Pope and her brother-in-law, Chris King.

She is survived by her husband of  56 years, James King; son, James Allen King and wife, Tish; and Brian David King and wife, Serina; granddaughters, Brittany Smith and husband, Scott; Maci Heuring and husband, Tray; Kaci Magee and husband, Brandon; Kara Faldyn and husband, Cody; Cali Zotz and husband, James; Kaylee Donnell and husband, Evan; Lexi King and Natalie King; great-grandchildren, Cambri Heuring, Mason Heuring, Hutson Heuring, Hunter Heuring, Laynie Magee, Harlow Smith, Lane Magee, David Donnell, Cooper Zotz, Charlotte Donnell, Berkley Zotz, Michael Donnell, Payton Smith and Baby Emory Faldyn on the way; and bonus son, Tracey Frerich.

The family extends a special thanks to the Senior Care staff and the United Regional Health Care System nursing staff on floors 3C, 4W and 7C.
