C.D. "Doc" Wright, 95, of Wichita Falls, passed away Saturday, October 9, 2021. A Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, October 13, 2021 in Riverside Cemetery (Byers, Texas) with Pastor Chad Stubblefield officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Doc was born in Byers, Texas, 1925. He worked for Wilson Mfg. and Advanced Oil Tools before starting his own, one man operation, Doc Wright Perforator, in 1965. He provided oil well logging and perforating services all over North Texas and Southern Oklahoma for over 35 years.

Doc was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Margaret Wright; his wife Dorothy; and a sister, Dorothy Garrett.

He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Hill and husband, Frank of Wichita Falls; his son, Joe Wright and wife, Debbie of Wichita Falls; his sisters, Betty Haney of Wichita Falls, Margie Ligon of Graham; his brother, James Wright and wife, Dorisanne of Petrolia; three grandchildren, Jason Williams, Dustin Smith and Lauren Stillson; and three great grandchildren, Gage Williams, Madelyn Williams and Matthew Stillson.

Pa, as he was known by family, will be missed dearly by all who were fortunate to have known him.
