Charles Andrew "Andy" Lee, 74, passed away on June 7, 2026.

Andy was born on September 16, 1951, in Abilene, Texas, to Delwood Charles Lee and Mary Gay Lee. As the oldest of five children, he naturally stepped into a leadership role and was never afraid to take on a challenge.

A proud graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity, Andy remained a devoted Longhorn fan throughout his life. His love for Texas, history, and entrepreneurship shaped both his career and the way he approached life.

During the oil boom of the late 1970s and early 1980s, Andy partnered with his longtime friend Greg Bair to form Bair-Lee Oil Company. When the oil market changed, he returned to what would become his true passion: bringing new life to old buildings and investing in the future of Wichita Falls.

For more than forty years, Andy worked to preserve and improve downtown Wichita Falls. One of the first historic properties he helped save was the G.D. Anderson House across from Good Shepherd Church, where he secured a historical designation and converted the property into professional office space. Through The Andy Lee Company, he restored historic buildings, developed commercial properties, and supported projects that helped shape Wichita Falls, including Quail Creek Shopping Plaza and numerous downtown redevelopment efforts.

His work helped preserve some of Wichita Falls' most recognizable buildings and contributed to the designation of both the Depot Square Historic District and the Indiana Avenue Historic District. He received numerous awards and recognition over the years, but what mattered most to him was seeing old buildings given a second chance and watching downtown Wichita Falls continue to grow.

Outside of work, Andy loved Longhorn football, historic architecture, good food, a strong beverage, and being around people. He enjoyed talking through ideas, working on deals, and finding new opportunities. Iron Horse Pub was one of his favorite places to gather with friends, tell stories, and catch up on what was happening around town.

Friendship was important to Andy. His longtime friend Joe Golding stood by him through every chapter of life, and the two remained close for decades. He also treasured the friendships he shared with John Denman, John O'Donohue, John Martin "Bruiser," Jackie Bird, the late Gary Minchew, and many others who were part of his extended circle over the years.

More than anything, Andy was proud of his children and granddaughter. He celebrated their accomplishments, encouraged them to chase their goals, and never missed an opportunity to tell people how proud he was of them.

Andy is survived by his daughter, Leslie Anne Lee of Canyon Lake, Texas; his daughter, Kellie Elizabeth Lee of Austin, Texas, and grand-dog Mary-Margaret Lee; his son, Bradley Litteken and wife, Nynemi Caballero, of Arlington, Texas; and his beloved granddaughter, Beélia Litteken. He is also survived by Sandra Dillard, his former wife, longtime friend, and the mother of his children, who remained close to him throughout his life.

He is also survived by his brother, Art Lee of Glen Rose, Texas; his brother, Jeff Lee and wife, Bobbie Lee, of Glen Rose, Texas; and his sister, Mary Collier of Rainbow, Texas. He also leaves behind his nephews, Richard Lawson and Jeffrey Lawson; nieces Katharine Collier Esser, Elizabeth Eichhorn, Melissa Lee, and Emily Lee Roberts; along with many cousins, friends, and colleagues.

Andy was preceded in death by his father, Delwood Charles Lee; his mother, Mary Gay Lee; his sister, Beverly Lawson; his nephew, Robert Lawson; and his brother-in-law, Patrick Collier.

Whether you knew him through business, downtown projects, a shared meal, or years of friendship, Andy had a way of making an impression. His work can still be seen throughout Wichita Falls, but the people who loved him will remember the stories, the ideas, the conversations, and the way he always believed there was another opportunity around the corner.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 27, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Iron Horse Pub in Wichita Falls, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Casa de Milagros, a place of healing and hope.
