Charles R. (Bob) Black, 78, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Thursday, September 28, 2023.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, October 2nd at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3rd at Lunn's Chapel. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late Susie (Lipscomb) and William G. Black, Bob was born on January 12, 1945, in Orange County, California. He was a 1963 graduate of Wichita Falls High School. Bob worked as welder and machine mechanic for Piping Engineering, retiring after many years at Delphi. During his lifetime, he lived in California, Okinawa, Japan; Georgia and Alabama. Bob enjoyed working crossword puzzles and working with his hands. He was a big fan of Gunsmoke and Alabama football. He was the best Daddy and PawPaw and will be dearly missed.

Along with his parents, Bob was also preceded in death by son, Charles R. (Bobby) Black, Jr.; and his brothers, Bill Black and Tom Black.

He is survived by his daughter, Alecia Garcia; his special great-granddaughter who was his best friend and companion, Charlea Wells; grandchildren, Chelsea Denney and husband, Timothy; Haylea Wells, Justin Black and wife, Madison; Maria Black and Sinclair Lozano; great-grandchildren, Ellie, Teagan, Comet, Ben, Emma, Marita, Esme, Ares, Delilah, Deontis and Margot; brothers, Jerry Black, Mike Black, Steve Black; sister, Mary Hair; and numerous nieces and nephews.
