Charlie Louis Hansford, 83, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Monday, September 11th at Lunn's. Graveside services with military honors will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12th at Holliday Cemetery, Holliday, Texas, with Rev. Darryl Sewell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late of the late Eva Evelyn (Murray) and Herman Hansford, Charlie was born on January 27, 1940, in Winnsboro, Franklin Parish, Louisiana. He served his country proudly for four years in the United States Air Force. Charlie and Karri Sadberry Johnson were married on November 21, 1992. He worked in the maintenance department at Bethania Hospital for a number of years then taught HVAC classes for the TDCJ at Windham ISD in Childress for 20 years. Charlie loved going to Red River, New Mexico, and spending time with his family.

Along with his parents, Charlie was also preceded in death by his step-father, Willie B. Duchesne and a granddaughter, Halee Rogers; and his mother-in-law, Gayna "Granny" Sadberry.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Karri Hansford; sons, Chuck Hansford and Micah Johnson and wife, Colley; grandchildren, Mackenzi Hansford, Redding Johnson and Trevor Rogers; brother, Gary Duchesne; brother-in-law, James Sadberry and wife Ruth Ann; sisters-in-law, Mary Boyce and husband Charlie; and Lisa Jusko and husband Steve; nephew Matt Sadberry and wife Heather; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and family members.
