Christine M. Owen, 92, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 21 ^st at Lunn's. Funeral services and a celebration of Christine's life will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22 ^nd at Lunn's with Rev. Alice Hupp officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Mabel (Smith) and Richard T. McDonald, Christine was born on June 22, 1929, in Wichita Falls. Chris graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High

School in 1946.  She married Donald Owen on August 22, 1947. They were charter members of Park Place Christian Church. Chris was an active member of the OptiMrs. Club and a founding member of the Wichita Falls Chapter-American Sewing Guild. She and Don loved square dancing, and she owned The Catchall, a full-service square dance shop, where she enjoyed designing and sewing square dance dresses which were shipped internationally. Her hobbies included sewing, china painting, gardening and swimming. As the children were growing up, the family enjoyed camping together in the mountains. In later years, Chris and Don enjoyed international travel.  Chris liked to share that she never lived more than 4 miles from her birthplace.

Along with her parents, Christine was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Owen; daughter Linda Owen and son Richard Owen; sisters Mary Giles and Ruth Carr; and brothers James, Thomas, and George McDonald.

She is survived by son Kenneth Owen, daughter Janet (Russ) Hallum; Granddaughters Stephanie (Steve Canaday) Owen, Andrea (Charles) Curran; grandson Brett (Carly) Hallum; great-granddaughter Holland Anne Hallum; and brothers Robert and David (Linda) McDonald.
