Clarence Alton Holder (Al) passed from this life to his heavenly home with the assurance that his hope was built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness; he dared not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly leaned on Jesus' name. Christ was his solid rock and all other ground was sinking sand. He passed away on August 12, 2021, at the age of 89 while under the wonderful care of Hospice of Wichita Falls.

A family memorial will be held at Rock Creek Road Baptist Church in Mineral Wells, Texas, at a future date. Visitation will be held at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home on Monday, August 16, 2021 from 6:00-7:00pm.

Born on December 12, 1931, in Wichita County to Lovelle (Waters) and Clarence Wilson Holder, Al graduated from WFHS (proud member of the Class of '49) and Texas Tech University (Class of '55). He married Lucille Garvin in Wichita Falls, on February 12, 1956.

Al became a Christian at the age of 30 and has loved the Lord wholeheartedly since. Al and Lucille were among the founding families that established Grace Church, Wichita Falls.

Al and his wife Lucille established and owned House of Flowers, successfully running it for over 40 years. It is currently owned by their daughter, Karen. Al also ran Automated Management Systems (AMS) and subsequently established Faith Trading Company in 1982.

Al was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lovelle; brother, Robert and sister, Karen Luan; and grandson, Adam Holder. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Lucille, of Wichita Falls; son and daughter-in-law, Wesley and Melissa of Travelers Rest, South Carolina; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Ronnie of Wichita Falls; son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Marilyn of Upland, Indiana; daughter, Angela, of Wichita Falls; ten grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
