Claudia passed away on Saturday February 15, 2025, in Keene, Texas. She was born on April 24, 1934, in Jack County to Pearly and Henry Underwood. She was the middle of five children. They were raised in Wichita Falls, Texas.  There were four girls and one boy which kept everyone busy and made for some exciting home life!

Claudia graduated from Wichita Falls Senior High School and met and married Earl Vance Manning in June 1952, in Wichita Falls, Texas. After graduation, Claudia worked at the hospital and became a certified phlebotomist. Claudia had three children, twin boys and a girl. Sheri was the first born followed five years later by twin boys, Earl and Gerald and life was never the same! Claudia kept busy with the kids and their activities at school, sports, church. Claudia took the kids to church and made church attendance a priority.

Once the kids were all married and out of the house, Claudia and Vance agreed to move to Wichita Falls to help care for Claudia's mother, Pearly.  After settling in, Claudia and Vance became members of the Nazarene Church where most of our extended family attended.  Claudia attended a ladies Bible Study which was led by her sister-in-law, and long time member of First Church of the Nazarene, Minnie Lou Sabine. Throughout her life, Claudia was involved with teaching children in Sunday School, Caravans, Nursery and many other ministries.

She remained faithful to her husband until his passing in 1998. Claudia leaves behind a legacy of faith in her three children, Sheri Pope and husband Michael; Gerald Manning and wife Julie, and Earl Manning and girlfriend, Sheri Milhollin. Her six grandchildren, Chris Pope, Andrew Pope, Chelsea Jacobs, Gerald Manning, Jr., Camille Hoxworth, Raleigh Manning and 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services to be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 26th at Lunn's with Pastor Allen Hughes officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
