Dana Loris Keck Allison, 72, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm. at Lunn's. Memorial services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Lunn's Chapel, 2812 Midwestern Pkwy Wichita Falls, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Dana was born on May 1, 1949, to the late Mack and Jesse Keck. Dana married George G. Allison III on May 30, 1970. They were married for 46 years before he preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Kelly L. Keck, Milton R. Keck, and Dale H. Keck. She is survived by her son Michael Allison and spouse Marcia, daughter Jennifer Allison, grandchildren Ashlynne Hohenstein, Braden Allison, Mack Allison, and Mason Allison. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that she loved very much.

Dana graduated from Wichita Falls High School "Old High" in 1967 and Midwestern State University in 1971. At MSU, she majored in Secondary education and Physical education and minored in English. Her teaching career began at Windthorst High School. She transferred to WFISD, teaching first at Hirschi High School then finishing at Bonham Elementary where she retired in 2000. She briefly resumed her teaching career in 2020 as she taught her grandson Mack first grade in her home during Covid. As a teacher, Dana earned many awards including winning the WFISD West Foundation Teacher of the Year Award two times. She greatly touched the lives of many of her students during her years teaching.

Dana's passions included being a Mimi to her four grandchildren, traveling with her mother, especially to the Big Bend National Park, and with her friends to the mountains of Colorado. She loved to collect antiques and collected many of them alongside her husband George. They both loved the music of the Mad Medics and continued to listen to them for many years at Basin St. The family lake cabin at Hubbard Creek was a place of joy, happiness and relaxation for Dana.

Dana was involved in numerous organizations including Texas Retired Teachers Association, Wichita Falls Area Association of Retired School Personnel, AAUW, and Criterion Club.
