Daniel R. Hernandez, 69, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Tuesday, April 7,2026.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 15th at Lunn's Chapel. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late Trinidad (Martinez) and Mike Hernandez, Daniel was born on May 4th, 1956 in Wichita Falls, Texas, where he lived his entire life.

Daniel attended Hirschi High School and worked for PPG and Presidential Taxi. Daniel was a sports and music lover. He enjoyed watching and cheering on his favorite football, basketball, and baseball teams, especially the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers. He loved playing pool as a hobby, listening to his large music collection, watching his favorite war movies and Clint Eastwood westerns, and spending time with friends and family. Daniel also had a talent for drawing and a passion for photography.

Along with his parents, Daniel was preceded in death by his sister, Alicia Burgett.

He is survived by his life partner, Dora (Galvez) Hernandez; daughters Laura Curry Wilkins, Victoria Galvez, Christi Galvez; grandchildren: Damian Curry, Abigale Curry, Derek, Ian, and Lola Wilkins, Aaliyah Rodgers, Ty Guerra, Lela Black, and Ivan Matos; Sister, Linda Phillips. Brothers, Alfred and Louis Hernandez. Nieces and nephews: Benjamin Burgett, Angela Taylor, Sondra Nino, Veronica Gomez, Destiny, Elijah, Joseph, and Aaron Nino, Naomi Nino Herrera, Nicholas Moreno, and Kiarra Arredondo.
