On Monday, August 29, 2022, David F. Holoubek, beloved husband and father, passed away in his home in Wichita Falls.  He was eighty-four.  The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace church in Wichita Falls, on Saturday, September 3 ^rd , at 10:30 a.m. with Father Alex Ambrose officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

David was born in Timken, Kansas to John and Alma (Pechanec) Holoubek on May 25, 1938.  David's childhood was spent on the farm in Kansas and later he attended high school in Hutchinson, Kansas where he met and later married his high school sweetheart, Margaret June (Lohnes) Holoubek on June 21, 1958.  They were together 64 years.  He went on to attend school at Kansas State University in 1963 where he earned a bachelor's degree and went right to work for Continental Pipeline Company.  With his job, he was transferred from Minneapolis to McAllen and everywhere in between over the next few years and finally landed in Wichita Falls with his family in 1968.  David was District Superintendent of oil gathering for Conoco in North Texas for the next 38 years.  He very much enjoyed his job and the people who worked with him.  His co-workers knew him for his integrity, honesty, and easy-going manner.

David loved fly fishing in the streams of Colorado.  He would take his family there on vacations and spend time in the mountains, fishing and exploring old gold mines.  He loved to play golf and once hit a hole-in-one on the fifth hole at Weeks Park golf course.

He was man of few wants and was happier giving than receiving; he was always ready to lend a helping hand.  He was family man and a great father to his children and taught them to follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

He is survived by his wife June; his daughter Jodi Wachsman of Wichita Falls; son Eric Holoubek and wife Brenda Arguijo Holoubek of San Antonio; many nieces, and nephews that he loved and cherished.

His family already waiting for him, his parents John and Alma; son Daniel Holoubek; brother Richard Holoubek and wife Peggy; sister Pat Phipps and husband Eldon; and son-in-law Alan Wachsman.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls or The Altar Society at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church.
