In Loving Memory of Deborah Carlton, a devoted wife, loving mother, and dedicated homemaker, peacefully departed this world, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, November 19, 2023.  Born to Olin and Connie Levell on April 8, 1950, in Wichita Falls, Texas, Deborah filled the lives of those around her with warmth, compassion, and unwavering love.

A skilled homemaker, Deborah's talents extended far beyond the walls of her home. After graduating from Wichita Falls High School in 1968, she proudly attended Midwestern State University, obtaining a BA in Education in 1973. Both members of the First Christian Church congregation, Deborah met her husband, Dennis Carlton, while singing in the choir. She enjoyed and took pride in educating children through substitute teaching, and in earlier years was an advocate and member of the Wichita County Foster Parents Association. She loved camping in Colorado and traveling whenever she could, always ready for an adventure. She enjoyed macramé in her down time and has created several pieces her family cherishes today.

As a cherished wife, Deborah shared 53 years of joy, laughter, and companionship with her husband. Together, they navigated life's journey, creating a bond that stood the test of time.

Deborah's greatest source of pride and joy was her role as a mother. She is survived by her loving husband Dennis; her two adoring children, David Carlton and wife Courtney, and Dena Edwards and husband Taylor; her sister, April Soakie; niece Melanie Burgess; brother-in-law Bob Carlton and wife Mary; nephew Darren Carlton and husband Brian; niece Kristi Dunson and husband Norm. Her legacy lives on in the values and love she instilled in her family.

Deborah's kindness, generosity, and gentle spirit endeared her to friends and family alike. Her memory will be forever cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

A memorial service to celebrate Deborah's life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at First Christian Church of Wichita Falls, Texas, at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Christian Church in her honor.

May she rest in eternal peace, and may her loved ones find solace in the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
