Delores ("Dee") Waugh

Dee Waugh was called home to the Lord on April 3, 2026.  Services will be held on at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at First Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Osborn officiating.  Burial will be in Crestview Memorial Park.  Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Dee was born in Cordell, Oklahoma, on April 4, 1935. She married Bob Waugh in 1955 and traveled extensively, as Bob was in the U.S. Air Force.  The family moved to Wichita Falls in September 1964 after spending two years in France.  During Bob's multiple overseas deployments, Dee, as many military spouses must do, raised their three children alone.

Dee was a member of First Baptist Church, the Morning Seekers Life Group, and the Glory Choir.  She volunteered through the Red Cross to work at the Sheppard AFB pharmacy, and she volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 16 years.  Dee worked at McClurkans for 16 ½ years and retired from Storkland after working there another 16 years.  Dee was an excellent seamstress, sewing many of her daughter's school dresses, and she was an accomplished cook.  She had many close friends because she was a good friend herself.

Preceding Dee's call home to the Lord were her husband of more than 55 years, Bob Waugh, of Wichita Falls; her son, Darren Waugh, of Wichita Falls; her daughter, Debbie Edelman, of Arlington; her brothers Raymond Dew of Guthrie, Oklahoma and Obie Dew of El Reno, Oklahoma; and her parents.  Family members left with loving memories of Dee are her son, Mike Waugh and his long-time girlfriend, Jody Lusby, of West Sacramento, California; her son-in-law, Daniel Edelman of Arlington; her grandson Dustin Edelman and his fiancée, Lauryn Shackleford, of Coppell; her granddaughter, Dara McCluskey and her husband, Kris McCluskey, of Arlington; her granddaughter Hannah McMurry and her husband Grant McMurry of Garland; her grandson Garrett Waugh and his wife Mercades Waugh of Wichita Falls; and her brother, Al Dew, of Orange City, Iowa; as well as eight greatgrandchildren.
