It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Dianne Wehba Cluley, age 96, on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

Services will begin with a rosary at 5:45 p.m., conducted by Deacon Jim Bindel, followed by a celebration of life and visitation at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, September 29 at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home in Wichita Falls, Texas.  A Catholic Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 30 at Our Lady Queen of Peace (OLQP) Catholic Church in Wichita Falls, Texas, with Reverend Xavier Silvadasan celebrant, with the Rite of Committal at Sacred Heart Cemetery immediately following Mass.  Pallbearers for the service are six of her grandsons; John D. Cluley, James Cluley, Carson Cluley, Joey Cluley, Timothy Cluley, and Caden Cluley.

Dianne was born on June 15, 1929, in Holliday, Texas, to Saied (Jim) Wehba and Mary Edd Wehba. She grew up primarily in Vernon, Texas, with her older sister, Helen, and her younger brother, Jimmy. One pastime the family enjoyed during the summers was going out to watch the Vernon Dusters minor league baseball games. It was at one of these games, in 1948, that she met the love of her life, Ken, who was playing for the opposing team. They fell in love and married on March 20, 1949. This was the beginning of what is now a huge family that meant everything to Dianne.

Dianne and Ken had six sons over the next 20 years. The family thinks they were trying for a girl on at least the last two or three births! Dianne worked tirelessly through those years raising her boys by volunteering at school, doing fundraisers, chauffeuring children and friends to games and events, but mostly by cooking! She loved to cook and felt that in order to comfort and show love, she needed to feed everyone (whether they were hungry or not). Dianne loved cooking Lebanese food and baking Syrian bread for her children and grandchildren because she was passing on part of her heritage. Her rolled grape leaves were legendary!

Her family, friends, and the Catholic faith were her most precious gifts from God. The Psalm that she felt expressed this the best was, "What return shall I give to the Lord for all that He has given me? I will take the chalice of salvation and call upon the name of the Lord." Psalm 116:12-13.

While raising her sons, Dianne was involved in numerous church, social, and civic groups.  Among those were the League of Women Voters, Democratic Women of Wichita County, the Association of the Holy Family of Nazareth, the OLQP Altar Society, Catholic Daughters of America, St. Mary and Martha Bible group, Wichita County Food Bank, Cedars of Lebanon Club, and many more.

Among her many talents, Dianne was an excellent seamstress and an accomplished artist.  Her hand-made clothes and other items, as well as oil paintings and drawings can be found in many of her children and grandchildren's homes.

Those of you who knew Dianne well found in her an unwavering commitment to the ideals and beliefs that she held close. She was not shy about expressing her opinion on subjects that were important to her. She stood tall for what was right and spoke out against what was wrong.  Dianne's passion and consistency can be seen in her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Dianne had a special place in her heart for all of her daughters-in-law. Since she only had sons, these women were the daughters she never had. Toward the end of her life, she was blessed to have the love and attention from them that she needed to be safe and comfortable.  An immeasurable message of thanks and love go to Mary Ann, Mary, Vicki, Lindsey, Wanda, and Rhonda.

Her final message to her family was, "Goodbye my princes and princesses; sons and daughters of Lebanon, always stay close to God and to each other. I love you all, Mom."

Dianne is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sister Helen Burdick and brother Jimmy Wehba (aka Skandar Akbar) and great-grandchild Mikey Alvarado.  She is survived by her six sons, Ken (Mary Ann) Cluley of Berryville, Texas; Eddie (Mary) Cluley of Burkburnett, Texas; Jerry (Vicki) Cluley, Joe (Lindsey) Cluley, John Cluley, all of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Tim (Wanda) Cluley of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, Mandy (Patsy Garza) Cluley, Erin (Tearlach Hutcheson) Cluley, John (Wendy) Cluley, Angela (Dale) Miller, David (Brittany) Cluley, James Cluley, Missy (Jackie) McCartney, Amy (Ryan) Silver, Tony (Sarah) Cluley, Jeremy, Sarah, Mika, Carson Cluley, Joey (Courtney) Cluley, Teresa (Alvo) Alvarado, Kenneth (Hollis) Cluley, Timothy Cluley, Zack (Vayle) Cluley, Rebekah (Chris Greene) Cluley, Caden and Mathew Cluley, Eddie Brownstein, Gary (Hebe) Brownstein, and Amy (Josh) Andrajack.

Dianne is survived by 39 great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Cluley, several cousins, and by nieces and nephews, Patty (Randy) Park, Karen (Jimmy) Meredith, Katie Dye, Frank Burdick, Darryl Wehba, Jim (Karen) Grace, Wanda Cluley, Jim Cluley, Sandra (William) Sudhoff, Brenda (Robert) Beck, and Bonnie (John) Hicks.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff members at Beyond Faith Hospice of Wichita Falls. Laurie, Heather, and Brittany, we appreciate all that you did for Dianne. She loved you.
