Donna Frances Christman was welcomed into heaven on April 23, 2026 after passing away peacefully, freed from a long battle with Alzheimer's.  Her faith meant everything to her—and it was the one thing she never "forgot."

Anyone who knew Donna, heard her often say, "I am blessed."  So, to honor her, we would like to share with you some of the many blessings in her life.  She was born in Cuba, New York, on November 11, 1934, to George and Pauline Blank. Her mother instilled in their four children a deep devotion to the Lord. Donna grew up attending Mass regularly, and her faith became a central and enduring part of her life from a young age.

One of her greatest blessings was her husband, William ("Bill") Christman. He loved her so deeply that he chose to become Catholic, and they were married on June 12, 1958. Donna's devotion to the Lord was so genuine and strong that it flourished in Bill as well. Together, they were blessed with four children: David, Maria, Teresa, and Curtis.

As an Air Force family, they moved often, which was not always easy. Still, Donna would tell you that this, too, was a blessing, as it allowed her to see much of the world and form lasting friendships along the way.

Donna had a very gentle, loving, and trusting nature—qualities that served her well throughout her working life. She worked as a secretary at St. Theresa Catholic School while living in Biloxi, Mississippi, later as an accountant at the Sheppard Air Force Base BX, and eventually as a church secretary at St. Philip's in Lewisville, Texas.

After retirement, they moved to Florida, where she could be closer to her mother and help care for her in her later years. They cherished the friendships they formed there. However, when Bill was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, Donna knew she needed to be closer to family. They returned to Wichita Falls, where she found comfort, support, and a home that she truly loved – within walking distance from Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, where she faithfully attended daily Mass.

Donna's legacy of blessings lives on in her family: her sisters, Mary Lou Abbott and Ann Capurso; her children and grandchildren—David and his daughters, Destiny and Faith; Maria (Worthing), her husband Jeff, and their sons, Justin and Jonathan; Teresa (Thacker) and her children, Ryne and Blair; and Curtis and his daughter, Lorna.

Donna was reunited in heaven with her parents; her husband; her brother, John Blank; and her son in-law, Mike Thacker.

Our family is deeply grateful for the God-sent angel, Lois Castro, whose daily presence brought Donna unwavering love, companionship, and joy over the years.

We are also sincerely thankful for the compassionate care provided by many of the CNAs and nurses at House of Hope. In addition, extend our heartfelt appreciation to Hospice of Wichita Falls for their gentle support and comfort during a time when Donna needed it most.

The family will receive friends at a visitation on Friday, May 1st from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Rosary will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace on Saturday, May 2nd at 10:30 a.m. Funeral services are to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial is to follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Hospice of Wichita Falls, or the Seminarian Formation Fund.
