Doris "Janelle" Crenshaw, 84, of Kamay, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9th at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10th at First Baptist Church of Kamay, with Mr. Mark Mitchell and Mr. Lanny Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Bobbie (Covington) and Orvile Gunter, Janelle was born on October 28, 1940, in Anarene, Texas, Archer County. She was a 1960 graduate of Valley View High School. Janelle married Johnny Ray Crenshaw on June 24, 1961, and they had one son. She loved traveling and enjoyed two trips to Hawaii. She especially loved her trips to Ruidoso, New Mexico, with her "gang". She enjoyed ten summers in Pagosa Springs, Colorado, soaking up and breathing the clean mountain air.

Janelle loved spending her Thursday afternoons at the hairdresser, then shopping. She entertained her grandsons on Tuesdays as they grew up. She was known as "Mom" by her husband and son and 'Nell-Nell" by the grandkids and great-grandkids.

Along with her parents, Janelle was also preceded in death by sisters, Shirley Thomason and Ginger Thom; brother, Larry Gunter; and grandson, Joey Crenshaw.

She leaves behind her loving husband Johnny Ray; son Jeff and wife Rita; grandsons, Tye and wife Kristin; and Tanner and wife Erin; and great-granddaughters, Amerin, Eden and Sunny Crenshaw.
