Dortha "Jane" Taylor, 99, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on October 24, 2022.

Funeral service will be held in Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 31st with Rev Don Pellikan of First United Methodist Church officiating.  Burial will follow at the Goree Cemetery in Goree, Texas under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Jane was born on May 10, 1923, the second of twin girls born to Ernest and Lois (Coffman) Moore in Goree, Texas.  She graduated from Goree High School in 1941.  She married Dan Billingsley in 1942, and from this marriage, her only child, Jerry Lynn was born.

In 1952 Jane received her cosmetology license and opened Kut and Kurl Beauty Shop on Ave H with her friend, Phyllis Brown.  After 35 years at the Kut and Kurl, she retired.

Jane married Neil Taylor on Thanksgiving Day, 1960, at First Methodist Church where they became members of the Keystone Couples Class.  Jane and Neil enjoyed playing bridge with friends and RVing with their Good Sam RV Club friends. They enjoyed square dancing and were members of the Red River Square Dance Club.  Jane was also an active member of the Daughters of the Nile at the Maskat Temple. In 1982, Neil won an "Around the World" contest and he and Jane were able to visit many countries around the world which was the highlight of their retirement years.

Jane loved her family and especially taking her grandchildren on camping trips in the RV.  Jane loved family gatherings at the farm in Goree and enjoyed seeing her sisters-in-law whom she called her sisters, but she and her twin sister, Elaine, had a special relationship and talked on the phone almost every day.

In addition to her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Neil; twin sister, Lois "Elaine" Edwards and her family; brothers Orman E. Moore, William Frank Moore and Gordon E. Moore; and sister-in-law, Evelyn Moore.

She is survived by her son, Jerry Billingsley and wife, Vi; grandchildren Bryan Billingsley (Lien); Mary Jane Curry (Bobby); great-grandchildren, Shelby Billingsley, Justin Billingsley, Nina Billingsley; great-great children, Sebastian and Penelope Lopez; her brother, Robert (Bob) and wife, Jan; and sister-in-law, Gail Moore, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
