Earl A. Anderson, 82, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2022.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Faith Village Church of Christ with Chris Swinford officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow the service at 2:00 PM at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin, Oklahoma under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late Alice (Koester) and William Anderson, Earl was born on August 16, 1939, in Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from Centralia High School he joined the US Airforce and traveled to many places around the world. He ended up at Dyess Airforce Base in Abilene, TX. While there he was working at the Abilene Zoo where he met the love his life, his Karen Kay.  Together they opened "Canoe & Trail Outfitters" which they operated from the early 70's to mid 80's. Earl also worked in construction for several companies including Rowland & Donnell, Dennis Company & RJ Wachsman.

Earl loved nature and everything outdoors, especially canoe trips and camping. He went on many adventures including climbing volcanoes in Mexico, scuba diving in the Great Blue Hole off the coast of Belize, and barefoot cruises through the Bahamas. Earl's favorite activities were hunting, taxidermy and nature photography. He was a member of the National Audubon society, the local Bird Club, and had completed the program to become a Master Naturalist.

Along with his parents, Earl was also preceded in death by a grandson, Braden Boe, and a sister Marlene Sherfey.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Kay Anderson; daughter Stephanie Skelton and husband Lee, daughter Angela Boe and husband Karl, and a son Grant Anderson and wife Audrey. Earl had 13 grandchildren: Jacob Skelton, Sarah White and husband John, Hannah Skelton, Elizabeth Skelton, Ashley Strain and husband Trey, Courtney Manus and husband Paul, Dakota Boe and wife Caitlyn, Lexia Anderson, and Zander Anderson, and 9 great grandchildren: Noah, Oliver, & Theodore White: Braden, Rylie, & Ashtyn Strain, Kash, Myla & Carter Manus. He also is survived by his sister Paula Hall and husband Tom; his brother Don Anderson and wife Leila; and sister Maimi Biagi.
