Eddie Clayton Tucker was born on May 28, 1945 to the late James Ive and Ima Jewell
Tucker in Del Rio, Texas, where James was stationed in the Air Force.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday April 12 at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church in Wichita Falls, TX with Dr. Mark Bender officiating.

Eddie graduated from Texas Tech University in 1968 with a BBA in Accounting and was
soon drafted by the Army where he completed a tour in Vietnam before retiring as a
Captain.

Eddie married Sherry Hamburger on June 5, 1971 in Lawton, OK and they had two
children, John and Jennifer.

Eddie's professional career in the financial services sector comprised over 40 years at
various banks and credit unions in TX and OK, including Parker Square Bank, WFTFCU,
First National Bank, and First State Bank in Graham.

Eddie was a member of First Christian Church since 1975. He served in many leadership
roles for the church, including Deacon, Finance Committee, Executive Committee,
Stewardship Department (over 30 years), and was appointed Elder Emeritus and 2024
Man of the Year in recognition for his faithful years of service. He played church league
basketball, softball, and coached girls' soccer for over 15 years. He was a member of the
Southwest Rotary and Graham Rotary. Eddie was widely known as an avid Texas
Rangers fan.

Eddie met his second love, LaVeta Kaiser, in 2004 and lived out his remaining years with
her.

Eddie was preceded in death by his brothers, Gary and Jerry, and his son-in-law,
Christopher Rodgers. He is survived by his son, John; daughter, Jennifer Rodgers; sister
Kay and brother-in-law Gary; a sister, Gale and brother-in-law Dale; along with many
nieces and nephews. Eddie also leaves behind his longtime companion of over 20 years,
LaVeta Kaiser and her two sons Berry and Jayson.
