Elmer L. Bicoy, 89, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

The family will receive friends at a visitation from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 1st at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 2nd at Lunn's Chapel with Pastor Chad Stubblefield officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Crestview Memorial Park under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late Concordia (Polangcos) and Filimino Bicoy, Elmer was born on August 20, 1934, in Hilo, Hawaii. He completed high school at Kaimuki High School on O'ahu.  He then served 26 years in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged as a Master Sergeant. Elmer held many jobs with one of a few being USPS, but his favorite was working at Midwestern State University.

Elmer was an avid racquetball player and helped those wanting to learn racquetball.  He also enjoyed playing poker.  While in the USAF he was briefly involved as a test subject in the Space Shuttle Reentry Program at NASA Manned Spacecraft Center in Houston, TX.

Along with his parents, Elmer was also preceded in death by brother, Felix Fernandez.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Bicoy; children, Barbara Norton, Tim Bicoy and spouse, Brenda Bicoy; Alicia Johnson and spouse Michael Johnson; Jamie Garcia, Liz Bicoy, Yvette Bicoy, and Paul Bicoy; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Enid Larrua, who resides in Kaneohe, HI.
