Evangelina Huerta Rodriguez, 81 years of age, of Wichita Falls Texas, passed away on January 12, 2022.

The family will receive friends at a visitation on January 20 ^th at 5:00 P.M. at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral services will be January 21 ^st at 10:00 A.M. at Our Lady Queen of Peace with Father Alex Ambrose officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Jose Huerta and Maria (Rea), Evengelina was born on October 4, 1940, in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. She was a mother of 4 children, 14 grand children and 12 great grand children. She enjoyed praying her rosary daily but most of all, "helping people". Additionally, she was also a successful businesses owner in the food industry to include becoming a licensed nutritionist. Lastly, she was a faithful parishioner at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Houston, Texas.

Evangelina was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben G. Rodriguez; sister, Socorro Mendoza; brother Jose Manuel Huerta; and grand-daughter Claudia Ontiveros.

She is survived by sisters Maria De Jesus, Juanita, Aurora, Romana, Ninfa, Cira, Minerva; brother Jesus; son Ruben (Liana) Rodriguez Jr; daughters, Maria (Jason) Ramon, Evangelina (Steven) Cantu and Claudia (Rudolph) Hernandez.
