Frances Ann Monaghan, age 100, of Wichita Falls, Texas, passed away on May 12, 2026. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 18, 2026 at Crestview Memorial Park Mausoleum with Dr. Isaac Butterworth, officiating under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.The family welcomes family and friends to a visitation following the service.

Frances Ann (Chanchi) was born on April 3, 1926, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She established lifelong friendships growing up and attending school there. She graduated from the University of Texas in Austin where she was a member of KKG social organization. Following graduation, Chanchi returned to Wichita Falls where she met and married Doyle Monaghan. They were blessed with four children. Chanchi loved her home, her family and her friends.

She was an active volunteer for her church, First Presbyterian of Wichita Falls, the Wichita Falls Museum of Art, Kell House, the Heritage Society, Junior League and many others.

Chanchi was preceded in death by her parents, E A and Norma Deaton, her husband, Doyle Monaghan and by her grandson, Kyle Monaghan Tackitt.

The surviving family members are daughter, Molly Monaghan Hessel and husband, Bob Hessel, of Westlake Village, CA; daughter, Amy Monaghan Tackitt, of Daphne, AL; son, Kevin Doyle Monaghan and wife, Robbie Monaghan, of Granbury, TX; and daughter, Carey Monaghan Durham and husband, David Durham of Lipan, TX. Grandchildren and great-grandchildren include Megan Cavet and husband, Greg, and their children Caleb and Aubrea; Adrienne Jantz and husband Scott, and children Will Charles, Jayce, Jak, and Jude; Austin Doyle Monaghan and wife Michele and their children Dezi and Dahlia; Evan Hessel and wife Danielle and their children Ari and Gabriel; Taylor Hessel; Alex Hessel and wife Colleen and Nolan; Kristopher Tackitt and wife Alexis and their children Kinley and Konner; Kara Tackitt Hughes and husband Taft and their children River, Merritt and Sam; Hallie Durham Graves and her husband Clay and their children Lilah, Ellison, Collins and Annieclaire; Andrew Durham, wife Celeste Durham MD and Cora; Reed Durham, and wife, Jamie Jo and Creed and Allie Jo.

The family would like to thank the health care workers at Presbyterian Manor and Hospice, Wichita Falls who lovingly cared for their mother during her final days. Memorial contributions may be sent to Good Samaritan Fund, c/o Presbyterian Manor or Hospice Wichita Falls.
