Fred Jones, 92, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

Though no formal visitation will be held, family and friends are welcome to pay respects from 8:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday, July 2nd at Lunn's. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. in Lunn's Chapel with Chaplain Starkovich Forster officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Rosemont Cemetery under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Fred was born on November 16, 1933, in Williamston, North Carolina, to Martha Jones. He was drafted into the Army and retired after 20 years of service. Fred was stationed numerous places around the states and overseas in Germany and France.

Fred and Debra traveled many places around the states, including Canada and Mexico. Some of those vacations included trips with family. Fred loved playing cards with family and friends. He also enjoyed working on cars and fixing things around the house, as well as for family and friends. He also loved making things and giving them away.

Family was very important to Fred. He was always ready to help or to listen or just go and have some fun. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Fred was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Debra Jones, together for 41 years; daughters, Sheila Alston (Fred); Vickie Crawford (Mike) and Natalie Wallace; and a son, Fred Jones Jr.; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 nephews; and numerous cousins.
