George Britton Ancell IV, 73, of Wichita Falls, passed away on March 1, 2022.

Visitation will be Friday 6  to 7 P.M. at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday March 5 ^th , at Beaver Creek Cemetery with Pastor Charles Terry officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A son of the late George Britton Ancell III and Marie (Erwin), George was born on September 4, 1948, in Wichita Falls, Texas. On January 5, 1970 he married his wife Carol.

George was a fourth generation rancher and oil producer of the Ancell Ranch. The ranch was founded in 1890 with oil being discovered on its grounds in 1918. He was the founder and owner of B&G communications and was a co-owner of Texhoma Wireless for several years. He was also a HAM radio operator for many years and put up one of the first LTR systems to talk around the world.

His hobbies included coyote hunting, boating, talking on the radio, playing with his grandchildren, raising Brahmas, and working on electronics.

George is survived by his wife Carol Ancell; kids Jolie & David Teaff; Tina & Coy Cato; grandchildren Nic & April Teaff, Sabrina & Bryan Willand, Tabatha&Heath Patterson, Ethan Cato and Savanah Cato; and great-grandchildren Raiden, Sophia, Austin, Brantley and Killian.
