George Sanford Jacobs Jr. passed away on February 25th, 2024, leaving an indelible mark on our lives. He will be deeply missed by family and friends.

George was born on February 6, 1940, in Wichita Falls, Texas. He attended Holliday High School and later pursued his education at Midwestern University. As an entrepreneur and sales professional, George made significant contributions throughout his career.

His interests included outdoor activities, hunting, and passionately supporting his children and grandchildren in their sports endeavors. George's legacy lives on through his family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared with him.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie Jacobs, and their children: George Sanford Jacobs III (Jake) and his wife, Julie, Lesli Shanin Jacobs, Jennifer Michelle Cove and her husband Karl, Jared William Jacobs and his wife Jessica, and Jeffrey Lee Jacobs. His grandchildren include Chase Parker Jacobs and his wife Kristen, Joshua Ryan Jacobs and his wife Monica, Bradley Reese Jacobs and his wife Ashlyn, Madelyn Nation and her husband Dylan, Emma Claire Cove, Jamison Sanford Jacobs, and Julianne Grace Jacobs. Additionally, George was blessed with great-grandchildren: Everett, Samuel, and Jordon Jacobs, Lane and Logan Jacobs, and Brooklyn Nation, as well as In-laws Harold and Cindy Miller, Jimmy Jones and numerous nephews and nieces.

George was preceded in death by his father, George Sanford Jacobs Sr., and his mother, Ruth May Jacobs (Long), as well as his sister-in-law, Gena Jones.

George touched many lives with his spiritual walk, humor, generosity, loyalty, and unwavering values. His memory will endure through the cherished moments shared with family and friends. George had a penchant for storytelling, pulling pranks, and finding joy in laughter. Despite working tirelessly to provide for his family, he never missed an opportunity to coach or cheer on his children and grandchildren during their sports and events.

His loyalty to family and friends remains a lasting legacy—one that he passed down to his sons and daughters. George embodied the wisdom that "You can't help getting older, but you don't have to get old." His zest for life and youthful spirit inspired those around him.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate care workers who touched their lives and George's. There's no doubt he left them laughing and smiling. Special thanks go to Senior Care Health & Rehabilitation of Wichita Falls and Healing Hands Healthcare/Hospice.

A family visitation to celebrate his life will be held on March 1, 2024, at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home on Midwestern Parkway between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
