Geraldine Maurine Bell, 91, of Wichita Falls, passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021.

Family graveside services will be held Saturday, July 31 ^st at Bellevue Cemetery, Bellevue, Texas, with Pastor Chad Stubblefield officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

A daughter of the late Ruby (Mayfield) and Wolford Wetsel, Maurine was born on March 21, 1930, in Bellevue, Texas.  She graduated from Bellevue High School and soon after worked as a vocational nurse at Bowie Hospital, Wichita General Hospital, and for several doctors in Wichita Falls.  She was a member of First Baptist Church.  Maurine was passionate about gardening, she loved fashion, and enjoyed collecting beautiful things.  She liked to needlepoint and play bridge, enjoyed bowling on a league, and made many friends as a member of Beta Sigma Phi.  Maurine traveled throughout Europe, Asia, Scotland, Israel, and Greece.  She was lovingly called Nana, and her refrigerator was completely covered with family photos.  Her family remembers the laughter, joy, and fun that she brought to any gathering.  Birthdays were never forgotten, and her granddaughters were her biggest fan club.  She danced at each of her grandchildren's weddings and always spent quality time with them in conversation.

Along with her parents, Maurine was preceded in death by Lavonne Bell and her brother, Bud Wetzel.

She is survived by her four children:  Lawanda Cates and her husband Robert, Lavonda DeLong and her husband David, Dewayne Bell and his wife Carolyn, Paula Holobaugh and her husband Dennis.  She has 9 grandchildren:  Christi Jones and her husband Clint; Shana Jackson and her husband Chad, Amber Holt and her husband Eric, Dea Ramoin and her husband John, Summer Hutchins and her husband Jerod, Brendan Bell and his wife Christina, Andrew Bell and his wife Kayci, Ashlee Myers and her husband Darren, Lyndsay Pue and her husband Art.   She has 15 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.  She was the oldest of four siblings and is survived by two sisters:  Betty Liggett and her husband Jimmy, and Joan Wetsel; her nephew Ricky Liggett and his wife Gen, her nieces Janice Mulliniks and her husband Brent; Kim Hudson and her husband Mike.

Maurine will be honored by family members as her pall bearers:  Dewayne Bell, Robert Cates, David DeLong, Dennis Holobaugh, Brendan Bell, and Andrew Bell.
