Geold Elwood Wedel, Jr., of Wichita Falls, Texas died on Thursday, December 15, 2022.  Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 19, 2022 at Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls with Pastor Dale Snyder officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.

Gerold was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on February 11,1960 to the Gerold E. Wedel, Sr and Betty McCoy Wedel. He publicly professed his Christian faith when he was confirmed in 1974 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church. Gerold graduated from S.H. Rider High School in 1978. Following graduation he worked for a time with his father at Wedel's Service Center before later working at Cryovac in Iowa Park.

Gerold is preceded in death by his parents, Gerold (Shorty) and Betty Wedel. He is survived by one sister, Tina Marten and husband, Steve of Holliday, Texas.
