On the early morning breeze, Glenda Griffin Faulkner, left this earth for her heavenly home. She was known by many names—Big Momma, Glenda, Glenda Gail, but her favorite name was GG—that's the name her grandchildren called her.

Glenda was born on October 31, 1947, in Duncan, Oklahoma, to William (Bill) and Juanita Griffin. She graduated from Hirschi High School in 1965. She later earned her Associates Degree from Vernon College in nursing and worked as a Critical Care Nurse at United Regional Health Care System. She also held various Office Manager positions in Wichita Falls and Dallas.

GG's favorite things included her family, her grandchildren, country music, friends and sports. In fact, she and her sisters were known for their sports support. Over the years you could find GG, along with the rest of the family, cheering on local teams at WFISD sporting events. More recently, Holliday ISD was her stomping ground, where she proudly watched her grandchildren compete. She kept close contact with her friends in the Metroplex-- Liz, Marilyn, Sue, Mike and Sandy, as well as her friend Shirley Bradberry in Wichita Falls.

Glenda is survived by her daughter, Lisa Faulkner O'Campo and husband J.D., and their daughter Grace of Dallas; her son, Robert Faulkner and wife Kristi, and their sons Ryan, Ethan and Canon of Wichita Falls; her sisters, Jerrie Griffin Sowards and husband Jim of Wichita Falls; sister Denise Griffin Holcomb of Wichita Falls, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents William and Juanita Griffin and her sister Ellen Griffin Osborn.

Glenda's memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 21st, at Lunn's Chapel, Wichita Falls, Texas, with visitation to follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home.
